Entire saturday at sea

(crew = Caroline, Bertram, Rasmus, X)

Now Bertram is used to Boreas and I, so we can organise a sailing day.
Just before 11am, we leave the harbour, Bertram hoist the mainsail, then the spinnaker so we can cut the engine heading East.
We have to meet Nils who is driving Rasmus his son (8yrs old) to Peters værft. A perfect opportunity for the young boys to spend a great day together on the water.
We touch ground, but manage just to approach the peer. Lucky us.
Then off we go, sailing towards the anchorage near by Tærø where we have lunch, a swim, where unfortunatly Caroline drops her iPhone overboard. The water is so dark and green that we cannot see anything even diving with mask. Sad.
Later on, we sail off heading to Vordingborg, and the toilet blocks for some reasons. We stop the boat (drop the sails) so I can jump in the water armed with a screwdriver. Lucky we can sail again out of risk. The boys fight the genoa first, then the mainsail to hoist them.
Helping them, the time goes and we end up in a shallow spot where we get stuck. Hmmmmmmm. We are healing already quite much, so the alternative is: let me think. Call for help? No way. Motor on, full speed forward trying to tack, but nothing happens. Hmmmmmmmm.
We can try backing? Yes, let’s do that. Everyone is to leeward, pretending being VERY heavy, and slowly, meter by meter, we move the right direction. YES. Great experience, great fun.
We can sail again now.
The kids play inside, come on deck to steer few minutes, play, eat, and go back inside meanwhile we sail easily on one tack, all the way to our destination.
Before entering the harbour, we decide to stop and anchor to have diner.
Just a great day for everyone.

And here a short video showing Bertram hoisting the spinnaker
